Question:
Is the only way to get to Middletown or Newport by going over a bridge?
Answer:
The short answer is yes.
Newport, Middletown and Portsmouth are the three cities on Aquidneck Island. Unless you want to fly into Newport State Airport (UUU) or come by boat, you'll have to cross either the Newport, Mount Hope or Sakonnet Bridges to get onto the island and to Newport, Middletown or Portsmouth.
